SHENANDOAH Congratulates WLU 2015 Grads and Henry VIII (sort of)

A belated birthday greeting to famous misogynist Henry VIII (Tutor).  He’d be about 524 years now, and heaven knows how many stone.  We don’t exactly miss him (or the way his mother dressed him), but we still find the post mortem examinations and analyses (including Mantel’s) engaging.

Congratulations to all 2015 graduates, but especially to that score or so who have worked with Shenandoah during their time here.  Your energy, imagination and directed mischief have been indispensable.  Remember as you head out on your separe roads: fortune favors the brave.

recent-meR. T. Smith has edited Shenandoah since 1995 and serves as Writer-in-Residence at Washington & Lee. His forthcoming books are Doves in Flight: 13 Fictions and Summoning Shades: New Poems, both due in 2017.
