I chase my life but my life gets away
My mental hinge is sitting pretty loose
Heavy Monday runs down the day

I warn my beard, but it still turns gray
Kiss the Coppertop tryin to steal some juice
I plead my case, but my life’s in the way

Why move my mouth if my mouth can’t say?
The soul calls me home, but I remain aloof
Bizzy Tuesday burns down the day

You gotta wonder who filleted this fillet
Got a bone in my throat almost thick as a spruce
I hold onto my life, but my life goes astray

I’m back on my back like my bug’s been sprayed
Whose funky chickens have come home to roost?
Another run undoes the day

If gospel was gospel I just might pray
Them green eggs and ham didn’t save Dr. Seuss
I rub the lamp and the genie walks away

You tune up your car, but that car won’t play
Smoke some herb so your heart can get loose
Bizzy Wednesday breaks down the day

They tell me I’m lucky – it don’t feel that way
Seems like I’m the black cat on a hot tin roof

I plead with myself, but myself won’t stay
Always bizzy: another day re-does the day
